Olive Free Video Editor Free open-source non-linear video editor
Olive Free Video Editor is a node-based video editing and color correction tool. You will have complete control over how Olive renders the content you’re altering using this tool because of these visual programming components. These nodes allow you to join films in a flexible way and create a plethora of unique visual effects.
When using Olive for video editing, you can create new effects without even knowing how to write code. All you need to do is copy and paste the code into your text tool to share the nodes with other colleagues who wish to use the application. You can effortlessly match and color-correct various cameras with the included OpenColorIO utility. Olive can achieve the highest level of color accuracy in edited films by displaying pictures in both “half float” and “full float.”
Before Olive 0.1 was released, it underwent a year of development. According to the original author, this was both his first large-scale programming effort and his first C++ program. The author claims that many programming and video handling errors were made as a result of inexperience. Its instability is well-known. The program had to be completely redone because the development team realized that the “codebase was full of problems that made it unsustainable” and that the version 0.1 would not support planned features.[10]
